RH-33 Barker

Linia

A barker is a specialized mechanical device for cleaning every type of deciduous and coniferous wood. The barker is used to separate the bark from the wood (the round wood) usually in form of a trunk or element of treetop of the respective species of tree. This is how mill-grade wood is produced.

A barker is irreplaceable equipment for every sawmill line. The benefits from owning this device can be seen especially in fall and winter, when the wood from cuts is usually dirty and frozen due to the atmospheric conditions during that period. The barker removes all contaminants together with the tree bark, that by being solid and rigid during that period, also proves hard to remove with use of other methods. The barker also allows to remove root overgrowths and knots.

Application of barker in sawmill industry is largely beneficial for the majority of main works of the sawmill. Using it for the initial processing of the wood facilitates the sorting process, helps to spare tools and limits the exhausting work of workers. Modern barkers are safe and highly efficient.
