Automatic cutting line

The OOD-25 series line. The line is designed for fully automated cutting of boards and logs. The system consists of:

• Transverse chain feeder – used to initially align the boards
• The centering feeder used to measure and position the board in the axis of the cutter
• The cutter – equipped with two symmetrically sliding sets of 6 15kW saws each
• Sorting and transport receiver – separating the middle material from the side cutoffs, which are then moved to the one side of the machine, e.g. to a container

The line performs automatic measurement and adjustment of the cut board and then calculates the most optimal width of the board, based on the preset criteria. The operator can adjust, e.g.:

• The most wanted raw material width – the system will automatically choose how many saws will be used to cut the board (that is how e.g. one 20cm wide and two 12cm wide boards can be cut of a very wide board)
• The threshold for the sharp edge – an essential optimization factor in case of narrowing boards – if the very end of the board is significantly narrower than the rest, this threshold will eliminate it to cut a board with largest possible with (leaving the narrowing end without a cut)
• The number of active saws – this parameter allows the cutting of e.g. battens and counterbattens of the edges of board-log

The dimension of the output board may be rounded to a set value, e.g. to the full centimeters. Additionally the system is equipped in measurement of the feeding material thickness that allows it for automated choice of cutting speed and calculation of quantity (length and volume) of material processed.
